The DK Sonic Professional Ultrasonic Carburettor Cleaners are the perfect everyday tool for your workshop. The best size of ultrasonic cleaner for cleaning a bank of 4 carburettors is the 20 or 27 Ltr. All the ultrasonic tanks are made in stainless steel. 

Size matters!! In order to make sure you get the most appropriate ultrasonic cleaner for your carburettors, it is important that the tank size is bigger than your carbs. The internal dimensions of your tank are critical. It's not the volume that's important, its the actual measurements. To be absolutely certain, take a minute to measure it.

Also take into consideration that if you want to use a steel basket in the machine (and most people do), it can reduce the workable size by up to 8mm all round. The specification for each ultrasonic cleaner shows all the important dimensions. Tip: Measure twice, purchase once.

Which model? There are three versions for most sizes of ultrasonic cleaner. The more money you pay for a model, the greater control over the cleaning process. The "manual" (dial adjustment) has limited control. The "digital" range gives you extended cleaning times. Importantly, an LED display shows the temperature of the fluid. Finally, degassing delivers a deeper clean.

1) Dial adjustment. Analogue ultrasonic carburettor cleaner with two dials for the cleaning time (0-20 minutes) and the temperature (20 - 80 degrees C). There is no LED display.

2)  Digital with degassing. Degassing is standard with all our DK Sonic digital models. These have a push button to set the cleaning time (0-99 minutes) and temperature (0 - 80 degrees C) with an LED display.

What is degassing? The degas function quickly removes microscopic air from the liquid makes the cleaning process more effective. This is especially useful when cleaning a carburettor.

3) Degassing with sweep. As the above description but the frequency alternates between 30Khz - 40Khz.

Should I use a basket? Stainless Steel baskets are included with every machine.
